Digital Imaging-creation of digital images, typically from a physical object.
Adobe Photoshop-a graphics editing program developed and published by Adobe Systems
Commercial Art-a subsector of creative services, and refers to art created for commercial purposes, primarily advertising.

Branding can be applied to an entire corporate identity as well as to individual product and service names.

Various methods are used to create and combine symbols, images and/or words to create a visual representation of ideas and messages. A graphic designer may use typography, visual arts and page layout techniques to produce the final result. Graphic design often refers to both the process (designing) by which the communication is created and the products (designs) which are generated.

Graphic Design-The practice or profession of designing print or electronic forms of visual information, as for an advertisement, publication, or website.

Digital Imaging-also referred to as scanning, is a process where by a paper-based document is scanned by a computer and converted from its original human readable format into a digital, computer-readable format. The resulting image can be stored on a variety of media, such as computer disks, CD-ROMs, magnetic tape, and computer servers.

Branding-Entire process involved in creating a unique name and image for a product (good or service) in the consumers' mind, through advertising campaigns with a consistent theme. Define the following:

Graphic Design- The art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books.

Digital Imaging- A field of computer science covering digital images - images that can be stored on a computer, particularly bit-mapped images. Computer imaging is a wide field that includes digital photography, scanning, and composition and manipulation of bit-mapped graphics.

Adobe Photoshop- A graphic editing program for people no matter if they are professional photographers, serious amateur photographers, graphic designers or web designers. The program by Adobe is probably the best way to edit pictures and show (digital) creativity on the computer.

Commercial Art- Art used in advertising and selling

Branding- The promotion of a particular product or company by means of advertising and distinctive design.

Digital Imaging: Conversion of a video picture into pixels by means of an A/D converter where the level of each pixel can be stored in a computer.



Adobe Photoshop: a graphics editor that is one of the most popular programs for image manipulation.
